On Wednesday we looked at how far that $100 could get you shopping for bedroom supplies at Lakeside.  This week we are challenging ourselves once again to spend $100.  Our focus today is outdoor and pool seating.  Check it out below. For all these items we spent just $97.75 (plus tax + S&H).

We are officially kicking off the Lakeside Collection’s Lucky 21 Sweepstakes!  Today through May 28^th, every day we will be giving away a $100 American Express gift card.  There are two different ways fans can enter this sweepstakes.  Either go to our Facebook page and click on the “Lucky 21 Sweepstakes” tab (see screenshot below) –OR- click this direct link to the sweepstakes: http://on.fb.me/JbhJtL.  Also, this link is iPad friendly so you can enter daily on the go.

Remember, you can only enter once per day but you can enter EVERY DAY of the sweepstakes.  As a bonus, there are TWO great ways to have your named entered again!  First, after you enter, spin the wheel and if you land on LUCKY 21 your name is automatically entered again in that day’s drawing.  You can also get a bonus entry by referring a friend to the sweepstakes (also after you enter).  Good Luck!

Some of the folks who entered the Spread the Joy Sweepstakes yesterday may have received an email request for the use of their photo.  This was an email server glitch and we are sincerely sorry about the confusing email.  Our Spread the Joy Sweepstakes winners will be announced on the sweepstakes winners tab and as a status update on our Facebook page.  We will announce our first two $500 American Express gift card winners tomorrow.

Over the last couple weeks I was charged with informing the Lakeside Collection $1,000 Sweepstakes winners that they won a $1,000 American Express gift card.  No, I did not get to road trip around America with balloons and a comically large check knocking on doors; however I did get to make some pretty interesting phone calls.

So how did people react?  Well not exactly as I expected.   I anticipated screams and even had positioned myself a little distance from the phone to avoid permanent auditory damage.  However most of the fans actually said ‘no.’  Not ‘no, I don’t accept your prize,’ but ‘no, I don’t believe you.’  They all did come around, but I didn’t expect I would have to convince them that they actually won.  Of course their initial shock and disbelief was quickly followed with a flood of gratitude.  When I asked how they would spend their windfall, many said on gifts for the holidays or that they would share it with their family and friends.  Once again I was taken by surprise…not one person said they would put it on red and let it ride.

Our executive team took notice on the great ways Lakeside fans planned to spend a gift card this holiday season, and decided to have another sweepstakes!  The theme this time is Spread the Joy.  TWO lucky people each day (starting tomorrow through December 11^th) will win a $500 American Express gift card.  Check out our Facebook page for more details and your chance to enter!

A few weeks back we announced our Facebook $1,000/day sweepstakes.  We are giving away $1,000 American Express gifts cards every day for 30 days in a row!  It’s hard to believe we already have 23 winners and still have 7 cards to give away!  If you haven’t already, check out Lakeside on Facebook!

Here are a few reminders as you enter the sweepstakes.

• We draw a winner/day from ONLY the people who entered on THAT day.  So be sure to visit our Facebook page each and every day for your chance at the prize! 
• The winners are randomly picked by an independent consulting firm.  Hometown, gender, age, favorite color or high school mascot have no impact on the draw…all that enter have a fair shot at winning.
• Each day at 10am Central we announce another winner (winners are announced ~1 week after the day they won).  Additionally, all winners names are listed on our Facebook page, just below where you enter the sweepstakes under the section “$1,000 Giveaway Winners List”
