New Lakeside Summer 2010 Catalog

Our new Summer 2010 catalog book has really great deals to get you ready and in tune for summer this year. The Wondershade™ Portable Umbrella is lightweight and durable, the Wondershade™ Portable Umbrella is great for sporting events, camping, the beach and more. The umbrella adjusts from 3 feet to 8 feet high and offers a 62″ arc with SPF-40 for generous shade coverage with UV protection. It’s great for the beach, the field while watching your kids or spouse play soccer for example. In fact there is a built in tilt control which allows you to adjust the umbrella to the angle that best blocks the sun away from your eyes. After you’re done with the umbrella it folds down into an easy carry case and it easily slides back into your car or truck. That’s just one of the many new products in the Summer 2010 catalog.

    I am interested in purchasing #894125012 (umbrella screen), but I need to know if the center pole base shown on the diagram (page 79) comes with the screen. I do not have a picnic table. I want the screen simply for sitting in it and enjoying the weather, but if it does not come with pole, I can’t use it.

    Hi Judy!
    I am happy to see your interest in our umbrella screens.

    I am sorry, but the screen does not come with the umbrella, or pole and base that supports the center of the screen tent.

    This is really a great product that makes outdoor dining a lot more enjoyable by enclosing your own patio set and umbrella in the see through mesh.

    You mentioned you don’t have a picnic table, but wanted to enjoy the outdoors more. I am sorry this product wouldn’t work for you.

    You might take a look at our other great summer items, like our candles (product number 894019017). They do a great job at keeping bugs away. If it is the sun that is getting to you, please take a look at our Wondershade (894012012).

    Overall, I think Lakeside is pretty good. Somet things have arrived not of the quality and sturdiness I like and some things have arrived to be perfect. My only real gripe is the length of time it takes to receive items. I placed an order on 4/14 and is still waiting for the item. I do a lot of online ordering and is used to receiving my purchases within 7 days. Lakeside really should work on process improvement when it comes to pulling, packing, and shipping items. There’s also no way to expedite shipping, which is annoying. Overall, good place to shop.

    I would just like to comment on a book that I recently purchased for my daughter who is 10 years old. The book is called “What’s Happening to My Body?” Book for girls by: Lynda Madaras I have to be honest about this book, It is NOT what I had expected!! I can Not believe some of the things that it talks about, It to me is definately NOT for CHILDREN. On the back of the book it says that it is for all girls ages 10 & Up but I guarantee My Child Is NOT reading this book at all. I honestly thought that it would talk about things that children would need to know about Puberty but this is so adult educated it is not funny. It has pictures of Male body parts, as well as female body parts, it talks about masterbation, sexual intercorse, amoungst many other things that I do not feel a child at the age of 10,11,12, or 13 really need to know. We want our children to be “Children” as long as they can, Yes they will have questions but Not to this extent! They do not need this much detail as well. I am very UnHappy about this book and Hope to let other parents know what this book is truely about before You purchase it for a child of this age. Please think twice about purchasing this book for your child because it is very detailed and graphic. Thumbs DOWN All the Way!!

    Guess I won’t be ordering from you anymore, at least 90% items imported. I found that out after my huge order from you at Christmas time and now again in your Summer 2010 catalog. What really irked me the most is your American flag throw #894106012 not even “Made in USA” Sure sounds like you aren’t interested in helping out our own USA, just every other foreign country on this earth

    You have an impressive catalog, and have suckered me in twice. I’ve ordered from you twice, and twice you’ve gotten it wrong, or didn’t have the merchandise I ordered, or charged me for an item twice, or it was broken when it got here. Thanks, but no thanks. There’s too many places out there that sell good merchandise and ship it on time, in one piece.
