Step 6: Create tablespoon sized balls with the dough and lay them out on baking sheets. Make sure they are about 2 inches apart from one another. Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes. Note: cookies will be a golden brown color when they are done.

Step 7: While your cookies are baking, it’s time to make the frosting. Start by melting butter in a small saucepan over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. Heat until the butter is golden brown.

Step 8: Pour the heated butter into a large mixing bowl. In the bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk. Note: make sure you gradually beat in these ingredients to achieve a smooth texture.

Step 9: Once the cookies and frosting are done and cooled off, evenly spread the frosting on top of each cookie. Sprinkle cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

While this recipe calls for prepackaged dough, you can also opt to make your own dough using your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or sugar cookie recipe. The prepackaged dough is meant to save time, and it’s also an easier way for beginners to make this recipe.


1 Roll Refrigerated Chocolate Chip or Sugar Cookie Dough

1/3 Cup Flour

1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans

24 Caramels

2 Tablespoons Half-And-Half

1/3 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips

1 Teaspoon Sea Salt


Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the cookie dough and flour. Knead together until blended.

Step 3: Roll the dough into tablespoon sized balls and then roll each one into the pecans. Make sure the pecans are pressed into the dough. Evenly line cookie sheets with the dough balls.

Step 4: Bake the cookies for 12-16 minutes. You’ll know when they are done when they are golden brown on the edges.

Step 5: After removing cookies from the oven, create an indentation in the center of each cookie. Note: the best way to make an indentation is to use the handle of a wooden spoon.

Step 8: Drop a teaspoon size of caramel into each cookie indentation. Allow the caramel to set on the cookies for about 15 minutes.
